This charming and beautiful mountain cabin is extremely unique in both its style and décor offering the quintessential mountain environment. The moment you see the cabin you are sure to be charmed. The beautiful bark siding with cedar trim is enhanced by the hemlock Adirondack decking and covered porch with rocking chairs and swing. The total privacy of this cul-de-sac property is surrounded with large rock outcroppings and pink rhododendrons in the front while the back has one of the most expansive and impressive views around.
You enter into a great room with cathedral ceiling with antique faux distressed beams, beautiful hardwood floors, tiled fireplace with mantel, deer horn chandeliers, and all mountain décor. This lovely room has combination kitchen, dining room and play room with footzball table. It is a great place for the family to gather and enjoy themselves. Central to this room is the entrance to the loft whose banister is made with real logs. The loft is just for kids with 2 beds with trundles, cubby holes to hide in, and a TV with Game Cube.
The main room leads to the day room which has three aspects of view, view, view. This charming room; again with Adirondack style ceiling fans, beams, hardwood floors, an additional fireplace, and all amenities is extremely comfortable and friendly. You feel like you belong here and never want to leave. The view brings the mountains into the house with incredible views in all seasons- but you should see it snow from this room!
In this unusually house, you go down to the bedrooms. The second floor has two bedrooms with one queen and one king. Both rooms again carry the mountain motif with wainscot paneling, and in one master bedroom, the chair railing is real bark. This room has a French door leading out onto the large deck with hot tub for 6. Again the view is tremendous.
The lower bedroom suite is all tongue and groove pine paneling, again with French doors leading outside to a small landing. This room is light and airy and smells of pine forest and mountain air. The king size pillow top mattress makes this room comfortable and inviting. You will fight over who gets this one. The adjoining bath is also all wood with a whirlpool tub in an extremely large bathroom with bark sided mirror frames and hand made towel racks from one of the better cabin stores in the area.
This impeccably and professionally decorated cabin will make your visit to this area memorable in all ways and you will want to return again and again.
Please remember, 4WD or chains are always recommended when visiting the mountains in winter.

Three Story Log Home with a Fabulous View of Grandfather Mountain

Grandview Lodge features a brand new gameroom, "The Game Shed" complete with foosball table, pinball and plenty of games! This cabin is an impeccably decorated three-story log home with a fabulous view of Grandfather Mountain. This home has three spacious bedrooms, loft, two full and two half baths. All bedrooms have pillow-top mattresses, beautiful linens, and wonderful views.
The master suite has a king size bed, private bath with Jacuzzi tub, double sinks and step in shower and a spectacular view of the mountains. Quality linens, lovely armoire and television complete this room.
Upstairs, the second bedroom has a queen bed again a great view and decorated with lovely hand-made draperies and custom bedspreads. There is a comfortable sitting area here as well. The third bedroom has twin beds, again with lovely linens and great mountain décor. There is a desk area also, in case someone has to bring their homework along! These rooms are separated by the loft, which features a wonderful daybed (actually a twin trundle) that is the perfect spot to curl up with a good book, or to just take in the spectacular view of Grandfather Mountain from yet another vantage point, but not to worry, all bedrooms have a spectacular view of the mountains! There is an additional full bath on this level.
This cabin also has 3 large decks. The front lower and upper covered decks have a wonderful view of Grandfather Mountain and a 180 degree winter view of the mountains. The front top deck has a spacious outdoor dining area and rocking chairs while the back deck houses the private spa area. There are even luxurious terry robes waiting for you when you step out. Or if you prefer, dine inside at the hand made harvest table made of reclaimed chestnut wormwood under the soft light of the antler chandelier.
The lower level features a brand new gameroom, complete with foosball table, pinball machine and seating area perfect for a hand of cards or playing one of the many games available. There is even an additional half bath on this level as well. Or step out onto the lower deck, with a second outdoor dining area complete with lighting, or sink into one of the comfortable Adirondack chairs perfect for soaking in the view.
Grandview Lodge is conveniently up the road from Hawksnest Ski and Snow Tubing Slopes, minutes from Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain Ski Areas and an easy drive to Appalachian Ski Area. You?re only minutes from several golf courses, hiking, fishing, kayaking and Tweetsie Railroad. Situated in cozy Seven Devils, Grandview Lodge is near Banner Elk, Valle Crucis, Blowing Rock and Boone shopping and dining.
