Mexico City (in Spanish: Ciudad de México, México, D.F. or simply México) is the capital city of Mexico. In 2006 Greater Mexico City had a population of 19.2 million, making it the largest metropolitan area in the western hemisphere and the second largest in the world. Mexico City is also the Federal District (Distrito Federal in Spanish, and hence the abbreviation D.F.). The Federal District, created in 1824, was integrated by several municipalities, one of which was the municipality of Mexico City. As the city began to grow, it engulfed all other municipalities into one large urban area. In 1928, all municipalities within the Federal District were abolished, an action that left a vacuum in the legal status of Mexico City vis-à-vis the Federal District, even though for most practical purposes they were traditionally considered to be the same entity. In 1993, to end the sterile discussions about whether one concept had engulfed the other, or if any of the two entities had any existence in lieu of the other, the 44th Article of the Constitution of Mexico was reformed to clearly state that Mexico City is the Federal District, seat of the Powers of the Union and capital of the United Mexican States.
Mexico City is located in the Valley of Mexico, also called the Valley of Anáhuac, a large valley in the high plateaus at the center of Mexico, at an altitude of 2,240 meters (7,349 ft). It was originally built by the Aztecs in 1325 on an island of Lake Texcoco. The city was almost completely destroyed in the siege of 1521, and was redesigned and rebuilt in the following years following the Spanish urban standards. In 1524 the municipality of Mexico City was established, known as México Tenustitlán, and as of 1585 it is officially known as ciudad de México.

Moondance - Villa with Pool, Hillside at Galleon Beach

Moondance is an intimate and eclectic three bedroom villa, just a few steps from Galleon Beach, English Harbour. There are three en suite bedrooms, and the villa is screened throughout. There is a large shaded terrace with dining table and sitting area featuring a wet bar, and there are comfortable sun loungers on the pool terrace on the lower level beside the kidney-shaped pool.
There is a comfortable indoor lounge, as well as a library. The kitchen is very well equipped. The house is tastefully furnished and decorated with an assortment of interesting artifacts and antiques collected over many years. Excellent use is made of different fabric types and striking colours producing a designer home with a very warm, inviting and relaxing tropical atmosphere.
The large master bedroom features a four poster king sized bed, and private verandah. The second bedroom is also very generous in size and features a king-sized bed. The third bedroom has two double beds. Just one word of caution - being built into the hillside, the house has several steps up to the first level and is not therefore the best choice for guests with limited mobility.
Nampara House

Nampara's main house has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and is luxurious and comfortable. There is also a two-bedroom, each with en-suite bath, poolside apartment on the lower level that can accompany the main house or be rented separately as it has a private entrance. The main house has a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwasher,microwave and washing machine as well as a built-in refrigerator/freezer. The lounge is next to the dining room, with an al fresco dining area separating them. There is a guest bedroom on this level with two single beds, TV, ceiling fan, screened windows, and garden views. The bedroom's bathroom is shared as a guest bathroom.
The master bedroom is upstairs, where there is a double bed, screened windows, air conditioning, ceiling fan and full en-suite bathroom with raised Jacuzzi, large standing spa shower and bidet. French doors open to a roof terrace overlooking the pool with fantastic ocean views. There are two other bedrooms on this level. The poolside apartment is an entirely self-sufficient two bedroom apartment with a fully fitted kitchen, dining and sitting area adjoining the two rooms. Each bedroom has a double bed with TV and DVD player, ceiling fan, and en-suite bathroom. French doors open to the gated sundeck where the 30' by 15' swimming pool can be enjoyed.
Nelsons Manor

Nelson's Manor is a deluxe three bedroom villa in the heart of historic English Harbour. The location is very private, yet just a few minutes walk to amenities such as boutiques, restaurants, bars, and sightseeing. The villa is fully equipped to comfortably host couples, groups, or family. There is a large swimming pool and verandah which extends the space to relax even closer to the spectacular view of the harbour.
There are two bedrooms with queen size beds, both with en-suite bathrooms. The third bedroom has a single bed with an adjoining bathroom. All of the bedrooms in Nelson's Manor are air conditioned, and there are ceiling fans throughout the villa. The living room is fitted with cable TV, VCR and radio. The kitchen is fully-fitted and open plan, so you can admire the view from every room in the house.
